N. A. Eckersley FRICS
Born and bred in Cheshire, Nigel Eckersley went to school in Shropshire and joined the firm, having gained agricultural experience working on dairy arable and beef and pig farms in both counties. This experience was invaluable when Nigel joined the firm as a trainee in 1978 which was shortly before the amalgamation of Wright and Partners and Henry Manley and Son Ltd gaining experience in both the Livestock market and within the professional and agency offices. Nigel studied by correspondence course from Reading University by day release and then qualified in 1983 and is now a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Nigel is a Partner in charge of the residential and professional offices specialising in residential and agricultural property and the sale of all types of property by public auction, tender and private treaty.
C. G. Norbury
Clive Norbury is the son of a Denbighshire tenant farmer and moved to Cheshire in 1975 aged 18, just a few days after taking his 'A' level exams, having secured a position as a pupil auctioneer with Henry Manley & Sons at Crewe earlier that Spring and has been there ever since.
Over the years he has auctioned most commodities but now specialises in pedigree and commercial dairy and beef cattle and heads this department for the firm today. He now heads a brilliant team of vibrant and keen people who all share his enthusiasm to provide an excellent and efficient service to all our clients.
He was delighted to accept an invitation to buy into the firm's equity in 1995 and now shares the responsibilities of running the whole firm with his fellow Partners.
His area of expertise is Livestock Sales and Valuations and he is considered one of the leading individuals in this specialist field in the whole of the UK.
P.D. LEWIS B.S.c.(Hons) MRICS
Peter is a farmer’s son from North Wales and has been based at the company’s Chester Office since joining Wright Manley in 1988. After graduating with a degree in Rural Land Management from Reading University (where he was a contemporary of A.K. Wallace) he spent 7 years gaining valuable experience with a well respected firm of Chartered Surveyors in East Anglia, before moving to Chester to be closer to his farming roots just over the Welsh border.
Peter is highly regarded for his expertise and extensive experience in a wide range of complex rural property issues including valuations, landlord and tenant legislation, compensation claims, dispute resolution and expert witness representation where he has represented clients in a number of high profile cases. He has taken a particular interest in telecommunication installations and rural planning issues, whilst he is equally well known throughout Cheshire and the adjoining counties as an accomplished Property Auctioneer selling a wide variety of properties and land.
H. P. Wright MRICS
As the fifth generation of the Wright family, Paul has been associated with Wright Manley for most of his life. Paul graduated from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester in 1987 and joined Wright Manley for a short while before leaving to work in Manchester for two years in the estates office of one of the largest land owners in the North West.
Since returning to Wright Manley, Paul has had responsibility for the running of the Whitchurch Office and in more recent times has specialised in valuations and surveys and presently practises from the Chester office.
M. E. Lewis MRICS
Miles Lewis entered the property profession straight from school, joining Wright Manley in 1982 as a junior trainee, and spending three years gaining experience in all departments of the firm. He then left to study full time at North East London Polytechnic, and after three years emerged with a BSc Honours Degree in Land Administration in the Upper second class division (2:1).
Miles then joined a specialist commercial surveying practice gaining 8 valuable years of experience in Commercial surveying, and specialising in Commercial and Industrial agency, Rent Review and Lease Renewal, Valuation and Rating.
Miles was elected a Professional Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1991.
In 1996 Miles rejoined Wright Manley, and was made a full equity Partner in 1999. He manages the Whitchurch Office dealing with all Residential Sales and Lettings, whilst also running the Commercial Agency and Professional department of the firm.
